Omnia mea mecum porto. I carry everything I have with me. Something in my backpack, in my pocket, in my mind. And then there are things I don't even know I carry. This is Volhynia! A promised land, overflowing with water and bread. I carry within me bits of mountains, meadows, and cities from my ancestors. I don't know if it's home, but it's mine. Somehow. This original production is inspired by the lives of the ancestors of the actress Markéta Bohadlová, based on their diaries and interviews. As Czechs from Volhynia, her family members were uprooted from their homes twice. It intertwines the exploration of family roots with the exploration of oneself.
